Jack-Knifed FedEx Semi Closes I-95 In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A crash involving a tractor-trailer closed the southbound lanes of the New England Thruway in New Rochelle, late Thursday night.

A FedEx truck jack-knifed on I-95 near Exit 17 for Larchmont just before 10 p.m., according to the NYSDOT. The crash at mile post 6.9 closed southbound lanes. At one point, traffic backups extended all the way to Harrison.

A Thruway Authority camera showed that the disabled tractor-trailer was blocking several lanes of the interstate highway with emergency crews on the scene late into the night.
