Jewelry Heist Through The Roof In New Rochelle
More than $1 million dollars worth of items were taken during the burglary.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A large-scale jewelry heist in New Rochelle was accomplished, investigators said, by cutting a hole in the roof. Burglars broke into New Rochelle Coin, Stamp and Jewelers, located at 20-1/2 Division St.
The owner discovered the break-in Friday morning after he opened the store and police were notified at 8:55 a.m.
Police said the store had been ransacked and numerous pieces of jewelry were missing. They said the hole in the roof was believed to have been made by the burglars.

Amanda Pappas, the daughter of the owner, Tony Silva, said more than $1 million worth of merchandise was stolen, lohud.com said.
The New Rochelle Police Departent Property Theft and Forensic Unit detectives are still investigating the burglary.
