Joy Ride Comes To A Dead End, Underage Suspects Nabbed
The three captured suspects were given appearance tickets after abandoning the car and were later released to their parents' custody.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A group of troublemaking kids managed to elude capture for a short time, but New Rochelle police brought their joy ride to an abrupt end, according to officials.
On Sunday, just before 2:30 p.m, New Rochelle police were called to Harmon Avenue near the intersection of Green Place to look into a complaint about a suspicious vehicle. There were four passengers still inside the vehicle when police arrived. Officers soon discovered that there was a fake license plate on the car in question.
When the officers approached the vehicle, it sped off, over the curb and onto the grass of Feeney Park, towards a staircase that leads to the dead end of Lockwood Avenue, police said. All four occupants jumped out of the car by the staircase and fled on foot. After a foot chase, three out of the four passengers were taken into custody.
