Lanes Closings Scheduled for Hutchinson River Parkway

Weekday lane closures can be expected for the Hutchinson River Parkway between the New York City line and the Connecticut border.

The closures begin Friday, June 17 and continue through Friday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.

Crews will be performing construction and maintenance activities, weather permitting, on both the north- and southbound parkway.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone are and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

The DOT wanted to remind motorists that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of a drivers license.
