Letter: Trump is the One Westchester Republican Leaders Should Stand Behind

Re: 2016 Presidential Election.

I need not inform you that a critical election, which will define the direction of our great State of New York and our nation, is imminent. Our Country is at a crossroad right now. At no time since Ronald Reagan became our standard bearer and President of the United States is this nation in as deep a dilemma: will America continue to decline or return to greatness?

Every New Yorker understands quite well that for too long, career politicians and bureaucrats have dedicated themselves to “serve;” however, unfortunately, that service begins and ends with their own self- interest. It is a simple fact that Washington is the place where honesty and good government goes to die. The self-prescribed poison? Money. Last year a dizzying array of corporations and special interests marched a literal army of 11,465 lobbyists into Washington, spending a mind numbing 3.2 billion dollars to influence politicians and political policymakers. Pro-rated, that amounts to approximately a stunning $7,400,000.00 for the combined members of congress in one year alone.

Against those numbers and that army, the American people never stood a chance. Until this year. Donald J. Trump is the only Presidential candidate who has the resources, character and sheer force of will to make systemic and meaningful change.

However, what is striking is the simple fact that the one Republican candidate who can accomplish real change has been completely ignored by the New York political elite. And the result? Local Republican leadership has been totally devoid of any input in the endorsement and support process. That must change. And that necessary change can be accomplished only one way: each of you and your committees speak up.

In that regard, I am happy to report that I will be helping to organize Westchester for the Republican Nominee and next President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. But today, I’d like you to do one thing: talk to your committees right now and join me in sending a simple message: Donald J. Trump is clearly and unambiguously New York’s favorite son in the upcoming Presidential election. While feckless career politicians and wannabes are politically paralyzed, you need not be. New York Republicans and Donald Trump have courage and conviction: don’t be afraid to stand up. The campaign will be looking for leaders and volunteers to support the campaign: one which has an additional, sweet goal: defeating Hillary Clinton in our own backyard.
