'Life-Threatening Travel' Snow Squall Warnings In Hudson Valley
The National Weather Service said a line of snow and snow squalls moving through the region could make getting around dangerous.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service is warning that a fast-moving weather system could make it dangerous to be on the roads in the Hudson Valley over the next several hours.
The NWS has issued a snow squall warning for Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster Counties. There are also several counties in Northern New Jersey, including Hudson, Passaic, Union, Bergen and Essex counties, in the warning. Litchfield County in Connecticut was also included.
The forecast is warning of whiteout conditions, zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow. Wind gusts could be up to 40 mph.

"Dangerous life-threatening travel" is possible, according to the National Weather Service.
Officials are warning drivers to reduce speed and turn on headlights. During snow squalls, the visibility may suddenly drop to near zero in whiteout conditions, which motorists should be on the alert for. Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this squall.
