NEW YORK — New York State Troopers are arguably a more professional force than the Galactic Empire's clone army, but to celebrate May the Fourth, better known as Star Wars Day, the police force took on the cause of training stormtroopers to shoot straight.

In a tongue-in-cheek video posted to social media, an Imperial Star Destroyer can be seen hovering over New York State Police barracks, as a class of less-than-fit-for-duty stormtroopers are being prepared in a classroom for a day at the firing range.

If there is any doubt whether the instructor is on the dark side of the force or the light side of the force, he can be seen taking a long thoughtful drink of coffee from his "Yoda" mug before lamenting, "it's gonna be a tough range today with these troopers."
