UPDATE: Woman Charged in Stabbing Death of Man in New Rochelle

The incident is still under investigation.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle woman was charged with first-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death Thursday of a man with whom she was in a relationship.

Police said Jonitha Alston, 30, stabbed Dennis Graham, 60, in the chest outside 138 Winthrop Ave., lohud.com said.

Graham died early Friday morning.

Alston has a LinkedIn profile that says she is a direct care worker at Community Living Corporation in New Rochelle.

10:51 a.m. Friday, Dec. 30, 2016:

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A man was stabbed Thursday evening in New Rochelle and died a few hours later.

Police said they received multiple calls about a disturbance at 138 Winthrop Ave. around 6:37 p.m. where they found a man with a serious stab wound to his chest in front of the home.

He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx where he died around 1 a.m. Friday.

Police said the man’s name will not be released until his next of kin have been notified.

A woman, who was in the vicinity, is believed to be a participant in this incident, police said.

Her identity is being withheld since she has not been charged with a crime.

Police said there are no other suspects at large, and that the man and the woman were known to each other.

The homicide is still under investigation.
