Man With Fake Glock, Black Skeleton Mask Attacked Elderly Victim: NRPD

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police say there are indications that a man who terrorized and violently assaulted an elderly New Rochelle man has a violent past. New Rochelle police say he is a suspect in other troubling incidents.

On Wednesday night, around 11 p.m., New Rochelle Police Department detectives executed an arrest warrant for Duane Floyd, in connection with a Feb. 7 violent assault on an elderly victim.

During the investigation into Floyd, police learned that he has two active non-extraditable warrants out of New Jersey for domestic assault and weapons possession, along with a warrant out of Alabama for assault and strangulation.

The 37-year-old New Rochelle man is charged with felony assault in the second degree — injuring a victim 65 years old or older.

During the arrest, Floyd was found to be in possession of an imitation Glock handgun as well as a black skeleton mask. He has been a suspect in previous menacing investigations and additional charges are possible on a future date, police said.
