Man Falls Through Ice At Five Islands Park

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 59-year-old suffered from hypothermia but is expected to recovery fully after falling through the ice by Five Islands Monday. The man stepped off the dock and the ice underneath him broke.

Four members of the New Rochelle Police Department were able to get the man out of the water because he could pull himself up, lohud.com said.

The incident happened around 4:45 p.m.
