Meals-On-Wheels Of New Rochelle Is Looking For Volunteers

The local organization has provided over 500,000 meals over the past four decades, and they could use your help.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Meals-on-Wheels of New Rochelle says that it is looking for volunteer drivers to deliver meals to the homebound elderly who have no other way of getting a hot daily meal.

"Your help is urgently needed," the organization said. "Meals-on-Wheels would not be complete without the two-footed angels who drive the wheels and serve the meals — always with a cheerful greeting."

Delivery takes about one hour, and meals are delivered at 11 a.m., 7 days a week. Volunteers meet at Montefiore/New Rochelle Hospital.
