Metro-North Announces July 4th Holiday Schedule Changes
Extra "getaway" trains will be in service Tuesday.

With July 4th coming up, the Metro-North Railroad has announced extra service for people looking to get a jump start on the holiday. On Tuesday, July 3, there will be 17 extra “getaway” departures from Grand Central Terminal between 1 p.m. and 4:11 p.m.
There will also be changes to the Hudson Line Connecting Services

On Wednesday, July 4, Metro-North will operate on a Sunday schedule with one additional train on the New Haven Line to get customers home from the annual Macy’s Fireworks show. The train will depart from Grand Central Terminal at 11:14 p.m. and Harlem-125th Street at 11:23 p.m., making stops at Westport, Fairfield, Fairfield-Metro, Bridgeport, Stratford, Milford, West Haven and New Haven.
The Hudson Line connecting services — the Hudson Rail Link, the Haverstraw-Ossining ferry and the Newburgh-Beacon ferry — will not operate on Wednesday, July 4.
