Motorcycle Helmet-Wearing Gunman Robs North Ave. Liquor Store: NRPD

Police said the robber escaped with cash and fled southbound on a black motorcycle with no license plates.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police are looking for answers in a brazen armed robbery at a North Avenue liquor store.

On Wednesday, shortly before 7 p.m., New Rochelle police were called to New Rochelle Wines, at 558 North Ave., on a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. The store clerk told police that a man entered the store, displayed a black handgun and demanded the clerk open the cash register. The robber then took all the cash and fled southbound on North Avenue on a black motorcycle with no license plates.

The suspect is described as approximately 5'10", unknown race, wearing a gray motorcycle helmet, gray backpack, black pants, blue jacket with gray sleeves and a red hooded sweatshirt.
