MTA Adding Early Getaway Trains Friday For Memorial Day Weekend
Metro-North announced its schedule for the long holiday weekend.

With Memorial Day weekend coming up, the MTA is adding extra trains Friday, May 24 to help commuters get an early start to the three-day holiday weekend. On Memorial Day, trains will operate on reduced schedules because ridership is found to be well below normal weekday levels.
For Friday, May 25, Metro-North Railroad will be adding 17 extra afternoon trains departing Grand Central Terminal between 12:58 p.m. and 4:11 p.m, according to the railroad.
Some trains between 5:18 p.m. and 7:28 p.m. will be canceled and combined due to reduced ridership during that time period.
