New Board President Isn't New To JCC Mid-Westchester
A longtime board member will assume a bigger leadership role, while the outgoing board president will keep a seat at the table.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The leadership at one of the largest civic organizations in our area has shifted recently, but the familiar faces haven't changed and the mission of offering educational, cultural and recreational programs in the community hasn't changed.
JCC Mid-Westchester (JCCMW) announced that long-time board member Rachel Moseley has assumed the role of President of the JCCMW Board of Directors, effective July 1. She is taking on the position formerly held by Ellen Reinheimer who is stepping down after four years.
Under Reinheimer’s leadership, the JCCMW navigated a range of challenges, most notably the COVID-19 pandemic, but the group has emerged healthy and thriving. Her efforts helped strengthen the foundations of the JCCMW, which has newly expanded its offerings, enhanced local partnerships and brought in a new CEO.

“One of the great strengths of the JCCMW is the passion and commitment of our board,” CEO Elise Dowell said. “I am so grateful to Ellen for her partnership and support during the first few months of my tenure. And I am thrilled that the leadership baton will be passed to Rachel, another committed and dedicated board member who has supported our agency for close to a decade. We are so fortunate to be going from strength to strength.”

Reinheimer will continue to serve as a JCCMW board member.
"The JCCMW is an exceptional organization comprised of exceptional people consistently willing to roll up their sleeves and do the necessary work on behalf of our community." Reinheimer said. "I am grateful to have had the opportunity to help shape and sustain an organization that strives to build a welcoming community for all who live in Westchester."
As the new board president, Moseley is bringing a track record of leadership experience to the JCCMW. Her career has focused on technology in the financial services industry and in education. For nearly twenty years, she has worked for the Scarsdale Public Schools where she served as Director of Information Technology, Chief Information and Data Protection Officer for the past six years. Last year, Moseley announced her retirement from the Scarsdale Public Schools effective in August.
She has also held the position of Chief Information Officer at financial firms MarketAxess and Instinet. She worked for twelve years as a Director at the Union Bank of Switzerland.
"It will be my honor to serve as Board President and further champion this tremendous asset for our community," Moseley said. "For years, thousands of Westchester residents have benefited from the JCCMW’s scope of programs and services, and we are deeply grateful to those who helped make that happen, especially our dedicated board and Ellen, our incredible leader of the past four years. I am so thankful that Ellen will continue to share her wisdom and insights about the JCCMW as she will continue as a board member when I assume this new role."
A dedicated volunteer, Moseley has served as a Disaster Action Team Member for the American Red Cross Greater New York and has participated in Century Rides to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Moseley has served on the JCCMW Board of Directors since 2013. She was born in Israel, and moved to Switzerland at a young age.
