New Principal for Davis Elementary to Be Recommended to Board of Ed
The district is hiring from within for the vacancy.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A new principal for George M. Davis Elementary School will be recommended to the City School District of New Rochelle Board of Education Tuesday.
Superintendent Dr. Brian G. Osborne will tell the board at its special meeting that Anthony Bambrola should be appointed to the position.
According to information from a district spokeswoman, Bambrola has been assistant principal of Davis since August 2015 working alongside former principal Michael Galland, who is now at Columbus Elementary School.

Osborne said Bambrola has demonstrated he has the qualities and capabilities to be a strong school leader.
“After having discussions regarding best instructional practices, maintaining and building the school’s vision and educational leadership practices, we are confident that he will carry on the ‘best practices’ that have been firmly established,” he said.

Brambrola received his advanced certificate in administration and supervision from Hunter College and a master of arts in childhood education grades one through six from New York University.
Brambrola said he was honored to have the opportunity to be Davis’s principal.
“We have an amazingly talented staff, an engaged and supportive parent body and students with infectious positive energy. In leading our school, it is my mission to inspire all members of the school community—students, staff, families and the greater community—towards the highest levels of excellence,” he said.
