New Rochelle BOE Creates New Facebook Page
The new Facebook page aims to keep the community apprised of the board's activities and other messages.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Board of Education has established a new Facebook page to keep the community apprised of the Board’s activities, announcements and other messages. The pagecomplements the existing City School District of New Rochelle page, which informs the community of important events and showcases engaging classes and activities and accomplishments of teachers, students and others.
“This new page expands our growing social media presence and deepens our connection with the New Rochelle community,” said Board of Education President Jeffrey Hastie. “It offers another vital avenue for families, students, and others to communicate with us and to join us in our mission of ensuring that our schools are safe, nurturing places to grow and to learn.”
Building stronger bonds with the community has been a goal of the Board, which in recent months established the email address — boe@nredlearn.org — that reaches all nine Board members as well as the superintendent and district clerk and the School Board Buddy program which assigns a school board member to each school, according to a spokesman.
