The New Rochelle Council on the Arts received $7,167 through ArtsWestchester's 2021 Art$WChallenge. The challenge grant matched amounts given to participating non-profits by new donors as well as increased donations from previous donors.

"We really appreciate the support from our new donors as well as the donors who increased their contributions this year," said NRCA President Theresa Kump Leghorn. "And we also want to thank our Westchester County Legislators -- Catherine Parker, Damon Maher and Terry Clements -- and County Executive George Latimer for understanding the importance of supporting the arts in our communities."

The 2021 Art$WChallenge, which was open to all eligible arts organizations in the county, broke several records, with 106 groups participating, including 20 first-time participants, and $652,631 in private funding raised. This was matched with $429,064 in County funding, totaling nearly $1.1 million dollars in combined support for the arts and culture community.
