New Rochelle FD Ladder Rescues Construction Workers At High-Rise Site
NRFD evacuated 2 injured workers on Tuesday, after rescuing an injured worker on Saturday at the same high-rise construction site.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The city's ever changing skyline caused more than a few tense moments at a downtown building site where a new high-rise tower is growing.
Fire officials said trouble struck twice at the same New Rochelle construction site on Garden Street in just a matter of days. On Saturday, an injured worker had to be removed by Tower Ladder from the 5th floor of the building under construction.
On Tuesday, two injured workers needed to be removed from the 6th floor of the building, reportedly after falling. The men were rescued from the same side of the building, by the very same method. The NRFD said that all of the injured workers were fortunate to have been on a job site just blocks away from Station 1, which is home to Engine 21, Tower Ladder 11 and Rescue 4.
