NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City of New Rochelle has engaged a communications firm to promote its economic development initiatives throughout the greater New York area.

New York City-based agency Marino was selected through a competitive request for proposals process that began in June.

City officials said Marino has a noteworthy record of achievement representing large-scale economic development in New York City, Westchester County and the surrounding region.

He served in the administration of Mayor Ed Koch as vice president for public affairs, media relations and marketing for what is now the New York City Economic Development Corporation.

The agency will promote New Rochelle’s downtown redevelopment plan, activated in 2015 by a Master Development agreement with RDRXR — a partnership of RXR Realty and Renaissance Downtowns.

Marino’s past and present clients include Chelsea Market, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Home Depot, Sullivan County Office of Tourism, McDonald’s and Walmart.
