New Rochelle Honors Firefighters for Courage and Bravery
The department and city officials presented dozens of local firefighters with awards Wednesday.
During a ceremony in the Council Chambers of City Hall today, Oct. 21, New Rochelle officials and members of the New Rochelle Fire Department honored 50 Firefighters with the department’s Life Saving and Unit Citation Awards.
Additionally, Mayor Noam Bramson sworn in Firefighter Steven Fridovich. All were serenaded by a rendition of “Amazing Grace,” performed by the Westchester Fire Fighters Pipe Band.
Bramson was joined by FD Chaplin Father Martin Biglin and Chief Louis DiMelgio in hosting the honors, which were in recognition of the department’s amazing acts of courage and bravery throughout the year.
