New Rochelle Honors, Promotes Firefighters in City Hall Ceremony
Thirty-two firefighters received Life Saving and Unit Citation Awards.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Fire Department held its annual Promotion and Awards Ceremony Thursday at the Council Chambers in City Hall.
Chief Louis DiMeglio and Deputy Chief Scott Bradley were joined by Mayor Noam Bramson, City Manager Charles Strome III, city staff and families as they honored 32 firefighters with the Life Saving and Unit Citation Awards, according to a spokeswoman.
“Today we recognized members who demonstrated meritorious acts of bravery throughout the year,” said Chief DiMeglio.

Father Michael Challinor of Holy Name of Jesus was appointed and sworn in as the new Chaplain, along with newly promoted members and firefighters.
Receiving promotions were Fire Captain Philip Cicchiello and Fire Lieutenants Brian Bracken, Eric Auletta, Andrew Burpee.

The department also welcomed five new Firefighters: Michael P. Amori, James A. DiMaggio, Liam Madden, Justin A. Moxey and Christopher S. Tortorella.
