New Rochelle Library Cancels Public Programs
A 1-mile radius centered at Young Israel of New Rochelle is a state-mandated containment area because of the new coronavirus.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — All public programs at the New Rochelle Public Library will be canceled through the end of March, barring an extension. Community Relations Coordinator Barbara Davis said preschool programs, computer and technology classes, Lunchtime Yoga, Zumba, Needlework, Mahjongg and English Conversation sessions, as well AARP Free Tax Preparation have been suspended through March 31.
The monthly New Rochelle Open Mic, scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled. The next one is set for April 11.

The following programs will all take place in the fall:
- Read650: Oct. 18
- Pho: a date in November
- "An Hour with Harriet Tubman": Oct. 4
- Intentional Cinema: sometime in the fall
The Huguenot Children's Library, which is located in the state-mandated containment area, will be closed until further notice, Davis said.
