New Rochelle Man Pleads Not Guilty In Death Of Daughter: UPDATE
Police initially responded to a report of a man bleeding from his wrist.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Neil White, who was arrested after his daughter was found dead in his New Rochelle home, pleaded not guilty after he was arraigned Wednesday in New Rochelle City Court. White, 47, of Arbor Glen in New Rochelle, was charged with second-degree murder, a felony.
Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said White’s next court date is June 15.
After his arraignment, he was remanded without bail.

His daughter — Gabrielle White, 7 — was believed by police to have been suffocated Tuesday.
Gabrielle White was a student at William B. Ward Elementary School in the City School District of New Rochelle.

The school district issued a statement that is was “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of one our students. The student’s family is in all of our thoughts and prayers. We are prepared to open Ward School tomorrow morning with a crisis team in place that includes grief counselors to assist our staff and students. Students will respond to this tragedy in various ways. It is important for both schools and families to support them by listening to them carefully and helping them through their feelings.”
If convicted, Neil White faces 25 years to life in prison.
Police said the case is still under investigation.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The father of the 7-year-old found dead Tuesday in New Rochelle has been charged with second-degree murder. The New Rochelle Police Department said Neil White was arrested and charged.
The child — Gabrielle White — was believed to have been suffocated, Eyewitness News 7 said.
Police were called to a home on Arbor Glen around 3:18 p.m. because a man was said to be bleeding from his wrist.
