New Rochelle Man Stabs Mom, Grandmother: PD

Police said an argument escalated to the assaults.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police made an arrest in the double stabbing of two New Rochelle women Wednesday. Craig Kishroy Dubery Jr., 21, of New Rochelle, was charged with two counts of first-degree assault, felonies.

He is scheduled to be arraigned in New Rochelle City Court Thursday morning.

A spokesman for the New Rochelle Police Department said that the victims of the stabbing were Dubery's mother and grandmother.

Police said the incident was domestic in nature, one in which a verbal dispute escalated into Dubery stabbing the two women.

Police went to a private residence on Bellview Place around 2 p.m. Wednesday for a reported stabbing.

Officers found one of the women outside the home and the other inside. Both had sustained multiple stab wounds.

They were taken to an area hospital. Police said they are in stable condition as of Thursday morning.

Dubery fled from the home and was arrested nearby, police said.

A knife believed to have been used in the stabbings was recovered, according to authorities.
