New Rochelle will be represented in the hockey rink at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.
Kevin Shattenkirk, a defenseman for the St. Blues, has been picked for the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, according to the St. Blues website.
Shattenkirk was born in New Rochelle and went to Boston University.
He was one of three Blues players chosen for the Olympics. The two others are forwards David Backes and T.J. Oshie.
The Sochi Olympics will be held February 7-23, 2014.
