New Rochelle Planning Board OKs 2 Developments

The buildings are mix-use with retail space.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Two new developments were given the go-ahead by the New Rochelle planning board. At a meeting Tuesday, site plans were OK’d for 277 North Ave. and 500 Main St.

The Bank of America branch at 277 North Ave. will be replaced with a 23-story mixed-use building, the Journal News said.

Two churches and a few retail stores will be demolished at 500 Main St. for a 26-story building with more than 400 rental units and 2,100 square feet of retail.

The New York Covenant Church, currently at the site, will move into the new building, the Journal News said.
