New Rochelle Police to Host Citizens Academy in September

Ever been curious about how the police department functions?

The New Rochelle Police Department will host a 10-week Citizens Police Academy beginning on Sept. 16, officials announced.

The course allows citizens to go through some of the same training as police officers and learn about the job and what officers experience on the street.

Classes will be held at the department every Wednesday evening, from 6:30 p.m. to- 9 p.m. For more information, contact the Training Unit at (914) 654-2323.
