New Rochelle Police Issue Alert For Missing/Endangered Man

Police are asking for the public's help finding Yorktown area native William "Bill" Allen, who was last seen in New Rochelle on October 4.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Police are asking for help locating a man with mental health challenges.

Update: New Rochelle police announced on October 15 that Allen was found. No further details were provided.

William "Bill" Allen, originally from the Yorktown area, was last seen at his assisted living residence at 41 Lockwood Ave. in New Rochelle, on October 4.

The 66-year-old suffers from schizophrenia and alcohol abuse, according to a missing person advisory issued by the New Rochelle Police Department on Thursday afternoon.

NRPD is circulating a recent photograph of Allen.

He has blue eyes and long grey hair, is 5'11'' and weighs approximately 160 pounds. Allen was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, grey sneakers and a baseball hat. He also has a number scabs on his hands and arms.
