New Rochelle Pride Day Returns To City Hall Atop The Rainbow Steps
The third annual Pride Day will kick off this week with a Pride Flag raising and a celebration of the city's commitment to inclusiveness.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Pride celebrations will be extra special in New Rochelle this year. Not only is it the third ever Pride Day, the city will also mark the second year in a row of earning a 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Municipality Index Score.
The City of New Rochelle and New Rochelle Pride will hold the 3rd Annual New Rochelle Pride Day at City Hall on June 1.
The event will begin at 4 p.m. on the New Rochelle City Hall lawn with a flag raising and continue until 8 p.m. with a resource fair featuring community partners, including the United Westchester Community Center, the New Rochelle Public Library, the Humane Society of Westchester, the LOFT LGBTQ Community Center, Montefiore New Rochelle, the Westchester Human Rights Commission and New England Fertility. There will be music, snacks and giveaways.

For the second year in a row, the City of New Rochelle earned a score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Municipality Index Score which grades U.S. cities based on their LGBTQ rights, support and friendliness.
The rain date for the celebration is June 2.
