NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The votes have been tallied in the Democratic primary election in the city of New Rochelle as candidates for mayor, district #3 councilperson, district #4 councilperson and county legislator district #11 earned the right to be on their party's ballot line in November.

Mayoral race: Yadira Ramos-Herbert has declared victory over Damon R. Maher. Ramos-Herbert captured 63 percent of votes.

New Rochelle District #3: Because Kwamain L. Dixon leads David Peters by fewer than twenty votes an automatic recount will be triggered. Following the July 5 deadline for all outstanding absentee ballots (post marked by Election Day)to arrive in the mail.

New Rochelle District # 4: Shane Osinloye is the apparent winner over Ivar Hyde. Osinloye won the race with 64 percent of the votes.

County Legislator District #11: Terry A. Clements has defeated Ximena Francella, according to the unofficial results.
