NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Government Finance Officers Association awarded the City of New Rochelle Department of Finance the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its fiscal year 2019 budget.

This is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting and represents the commitment of the City and Finance Department staff to produce a budget document that meets nationally recognized criteria as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and communications device, according to a spokesperson.

“We congratulate our Finance Department for this notable award, which recognizes both our budget and its value as a template for others to follow,” said City Manager Charles B. Strome, III.
