New Rochelle Reopens City Playgrounds

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Playgrounds in the City of New Rochelle are now open. New York State announced Thursday that the facilities could be reopened.

City officials said parks crews began working Friday morning to get the playgrounds open to the public.

Parks and playground visitors should observe state guidelines for health and safety.

Visitors should observe the CDC's minimum recommended social distancing of 6 feet from other persons at all times. Do not use parks or trails if you are exhibiting symptoms, and be prepared for limited access to public restrooms or water fountains.
