New Rochelle Restaurant Week Still Offering Dinner Deals

Diners can get prix fixe meals at a reduced price at 14 restaurants.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The second week of enjoying specially priced three-course meals has begun in New Rochelle.

Fourteen restaurants are participating in New Rochelle Dine Downtown Restaurant Week, where one can get a prix fixe dinner for $27.50, not including beverage, tax and tip.

The deals continue through Thursday, April 14. Diners can also enter a raffle for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate for future visits.

In addition to cooperating for restaurant week, the establishments, along with the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District, have worked to form a new downtown restaurant district for future collaboration.

Organizers said the new district will help create great experiences for visitors, such as a farm-to-table restaurant events and projects joining the visual and performing arts with the culinary arts.

Restaurants participating in Restaurant Weeks are (list and descriptions from New Rochelle BID):

  • A Place 2 Go Caribbean cuisine meets American soul food by talented Chef Chrissy Crisp at the popular and welcoming A Place 2 Go, which has earned an enthusiastic 4 stars on Yelp and a glowing New York Times review.
  • Alvin & Friends Contemporary cuisine with Southern/Caribbean flavors, “a darling of downtown New Rochelle” (The New York Times). In 2015 Alvin’s was selected by Open Table for a Diner’s Choice Award and Trip Advisor for a Certificate of Excellence.
  • Coromandel Cuisine of India Named “Best Indian Food in Tri-State Area” by Zagat, Coromandel Cuisine of India serves authentic Indian food in a colorful, contemporary environment.
  • The Gnarly Vine The Gnarly Vine owner and Chef William Leon, trained in Spain and Mexico, passionately pairs selected wines with a constantly changing eclectic gourmet menu.
  • La Herradura Mexican classics including tacos, enchiladas and fajitas served in a lively, colorful dining room. Guacamole is made right at the table. Fans of margaritas praise the ones made at Herradura.
  • Little Mexican Cafe This neighborhood restaurant serves up mouth-watering traditional Mexican food. The New York Times called its signature tacos “the genuine article.”
  • Modern Restaurant Designated one of America top 1000 Italian restaurants by Buonitalia and Zagat, this long-time New Rochelle favorite is now downtown in a lovingly restored building rich in architectural detail.
  • NoMa Social Known for its terrific Mediterranean-inspired menu and inventive cocktails, NoMa Social has played host to numerous celebrities, including the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
  • Olibar A Peruvian restaurant with unique, authentic, fusion-based food. Owned by a Peruvian family with more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant business. They previously owned restaurants and other business in Lima, Peru.
  • Patrias Restaurant Owner/master chef Mariano Aznar, a native of Spain, has cooked at many of the greatest Spanish restaurants, including the Michelin-starred Beresetegui.
  • Posto 22 Classic ltalian cuisine and gourmet specials in a softly-lit atmosphere, where a reviewer from The New York Times “fell in love on the spot.”
  • Rooster Bar & Grill A restaurant bar and grill with modern fusion cuisine. Rooster offers a relaxed dining experience with a delicious bistro menu.
  • Sorell Wine Bar Bistro A classical and French cuisine menu is offered by award-winning Chef Rick Iturralba, with over 20 years of experience at the Russian Tea Room, the Oyster Seafood Bar and Sambuca Restaurant in NYC.
  • Wooden Spoon Owner and Chef Nick Triscani, whose grandmother instilled in him a love of comfort food, has created a restaurant that The New York Times praised for its “down home feel” amid touches of contemporary design.
