New Rochelle Schools Announce Friday Early Dismissals Ahead Of Storm
A holiday storm already causing havoc across the country is expected to bring heavy rain, damaging winds and coastal flooding to the area.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle public school students will be getting an early start to their winter break, thanks to a winter storm headed this direction.

Due to inclement weather anticipated on Friday, the City School District of New Rochelle announced elementary schools will close at noon. This includes all morning pre-kindergarten and special education full-day pre-kindergarten. There will be no afternoon pre-kindergarten.

The middle and high schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. There will be no afternoon BOCES.
All afternoon and evening activities are canceled.

Yellow bus transportation will be provided at dismissal. Middle and high school students will be transported by yellow buses instead of Bee-Line buses.
Non-essential faculty and staff in each building will also be dismissed once all students have gone home.
