New Rochelle Middle School Student Charged in Stabbing

Police are not releasing the names of either student because of their age.

The 13-year-old New Rochelle boy who police say stabbed another student about a block from Isaac E. Young Middle School Wednesday has been charged with second-degree assault.

What is being called an “altercation” occurred between the two eighth-graders on Trinity Place, according to an article at lohud.com.

Isaac Young Principal told FIOS1news.com that the victim went to a crossing guard for help. The crossing guard called the police.

The school was put under temporary lockdown Wednesday morning.
