New Rochelle Tax Office Worker Accused of Stealing $9,500
The employee has since been fired.

New Rochelle resident Donna Lee, 48, was arrested on a charge of felony Grand Larceny Tuesday, accused of stealing $9,500 from the city’s Tax Office where she formerly worked.
Details of the case were not immediately available, but according to City Manager Charles B. Strome, III, Lee is no longer an employee of the city and the matter has been turned over to the Westchester County District Attorney’s office.
“Earlier this month the Finance Department reported $9,500 missing from the Tax Office and turned the matter over to the New Rochelle Police Department,” said Strome in a prepared statement to Patch. “After a thorough investigation an arrest has been made. The employee, Donna Lee, has been terminated and the matter will be turned over to the District Attorney’s office for criminal prosecution.”
