New Rochelle Woman Arrested With BAC Three Times The Limit: Cops

Troopers say the driver was arrested on Westchester Ave. in White Plains Friday night after she stopped her car on the roadway.

WHITE PLAINS, NY — A New Rochelle woman arrested in White Plains this weekend on a charge of driving while intoxicated had a blood alcohol level (BAC) more than three times the legal limit.

After noticing Jessica Ryan’s car stopped in a traffic lane on a busy stretch of Westchester Ave. at 11 p.m. Friday, troopers stopped to make sure the driver was not in need of any help. Cops say they instead discovered that the 31-year-old was intoxicated.

After being taken into custody and processed, it was discovered that Ryan’s BAC was 0.25 percent. A BAC of 0.08 percent or above is over the legal limit for drivers in New York. Ryan was charged with Misdemeanor Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. She was turned over to a sober third party and released. Ryan is due to appear before a City of White Plains Court judge on April 30.
