New Rochelle's Craig Carton Sentenced For Ticket Reselling Scam

He had a decade-long sports radio show with Boomer Esiason, the ex-NFL quarterback.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Radio personality Craig Carton was sentenced to 3-1/2 years in prison Friday for a ticket reselling scam. The New Rochelle native had a decade-long sports radio show with Boomer Esiason, the ex-NFL quarterback.

Carton was convicted in November of securities fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy, the Journal News said.

He was arrested in September 2017. The FBI took him into custody at his Manhattan home and said Carton and another man running a non-existent discount ticket broker business.

Authorities said Carton and business partner Joseph Meli defrauded two investors of at least $3.6 million.
