Newest Trustee Sworn in for New Rochelle Library

Her term ends in June. An election for the seat will be held in May.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - At a recent meeting of the New Rochelle Public Library board of trustees, a new member was sworn in.

Yadira Ramos-Herbert was sworn in by Board President Haina Just-Michael.

Ramos-Herbert takes the place of George Walters, who resigned after moving out of New Rochelle.

Ramos-Herbert is director of academic counseling and student outreach at Columbia Law School.

She has a master’s degree in higher education administration from Northeastern University.

Her volunteer experience includes currently being on the board of NewRo Runners, Inc.
