The New Rochelle Police Department is once again inviting residents to an informal sit-down over a hot cup of Joe on the house.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Bring questions and suggestions for the police, but leave the wallet at home because your friends on the force will be picking up the tab.

Get to know your neighborhood police officers at the next "Coffee with a Cop" in New Rochelle on April 12.

The New Rochelle Police Department is inviting New Rochelle residents to Starbucks next Tuesday at 11 a.m., to share a cup of coffee with neighborhood police officers. Officials said the event will be an opportunity to discuss "policing in New Rochelle, ask questions and engage with the officers who work in your neighborhoods."

It's a great chance for police officers and community members to learn more about each other and to strengthen community ties in a casual, friendly environment. And NRPD says, "the coffee is on us!"

Starbucks is located at 1278 North Ave. in New Rochelle.
