The New Rochelle Police Department says that it is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that took place on Wednesday, at 4:12 p.m., at the intersection of North Avenue and Lockwood Avenue.

All traffic on North Avenue, between Lincoln Avenue and Garden Street, was detoured while the accident was being investigated by the NRPD Traffic Unit.
The driver of the truck provided a statement and was released, according to police.
