Police Seek Answers After Holiday Weekend Shootout At Heritage Homes
One suspect is believed to have been wounded in the chaos, according to the New Rochelle Police Department.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A shootout at a public housing complex over the holiday weekend involved multiple gunmen, according to police.
On Saturday, at 10:47 p.m., officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 50 block of Colonel Lee Archer Boulevard, and at the intersection of Jacquetta Cole Street and Colonel Lee Archer Boulevard.

Witnesses reported multiple shooters exchanging gunfire in the area. At the scene, police found several spent shell casings.
No area residents or innocent bystanders reported any injuries as a result of the gun violence. Detectives, however, believe one of the shooters may have been grazed by a bullet before fleeing the scene.
