Pride Will Sizzle This Year With Festival And Special Concert

Pride will be celebrated in New Rochelle on Saturday with an annual festival plus a special night at the Downtown Summer Sizzle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — This year's pride celebration in New Rochelle might just be "enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best."

PRIDE will be celebrated in New Rochelle on Saturday with an annual festival plus a special night at the Downtown Summer Sizzle.

Beginning at 2 p.m., New Rochelle's 2nd Annual Pride Festial will be held at Ruby Dee Park (1 Library Plaza) and adjacent Lawton Street, which will be tranformed into a carnival-themed playland, with a photo op wall, interactive games, shopping from local vendors, diverse bites from local food trucks, and live performances.

Community organizations such as the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, New Rochelle Pride, Human Society of Westchester, Montefiore Medical Center, Center Lane, and The Loft LBGTQ+ Community Center will be on hand to provide resources for the LGBTQ+ community in New Rochelle.

The headline act will be Philadelphia Freedom: A Tribute to Elton John. Taking inspiration from the iconic artist and his contributions to the LGBTQ+ community, guests will be able to enjoy favorite hits and epic stage outfits to kick off the rest of their PRIDE month festivities this June. (NRNY)
