Rained Out Westchester County Car Show Shammied And Rescheduled

The event will bring street rods, classic cars and motorcycles in mint condition to vie for trophies and bragging rights.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The rained out Westchester County Car Show has been rescheduled for Oct. 14, if the car gods cooperate.

It's once again time to wash, shine and detail your car to get it in tip-top shape for the Westchester County Car Show.

The Westchester County Car Show will be returning on October 14, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Glen Island Park. The show will feature displays of a wide variety of collectible cars, street rods and motorcycles, all carefully restored to mint condition or modified for performance.

"In its 18th year at Glen Island Park, the Westchester Street Rod Association's annual car show brings together a magnificent array of vintage and modern automobiles," Westchester County Executive George Latimer said. "This event, a longstanding tradition in Westchester County for 40 years, showcases not only the passion for classic cars but also the scenic beauty of Glen Island Park, making it a must-attend experience. We're excited to welcome car enthusiasts from all around, celebrating both the timeless vehicles and the picturesque surroundings."

Gates will open at 8 a.m., and registration will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Entry fee is $20 per vehicle. Admission is free for spectators and the spectator parking fee is $5 per car.

The Westchester Street Rod Association will present more than 125 trophies, starting at 2:30 p.m.

"Glen Island is one of our most popular parks," Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said. "Its 105 acres on Long Island Sound create the perfect setting to appreciate these vehicles and the beautiful backdrop."

The Westchester County Car Show is presented by the Westchester Street Rod Association and is sponsored by Hasselman Racing and Hyatt’s Garage & Towing.

Glen Island Park is located off of Weyman Ave. in New Rochelle.
