Report: Former New Rochelle Soccer Player, School District Sued over Punch

Escobedo is seeking damages, and the lawsuit states he suffered permanent injuries.

A former New Rochelle High School soccer player broke the jaw of a White Plains High School player at half time of a 2013 game, and the injured player and his family have sued the assailant and the school district, according to Newsday.

Stefedson Dieudonne pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault earlier this year, but the lawsuit claims he had other disciplinary problems prior to punching Ozzie Escobedo, but the school district did not properly supervise him.

Escobedo is seeking damages, and the lawsuit states he suffered permanent injuries, according to Newsday based on reporting by The Journal News.
