Report: New Rochelle, Larchmont Police Investigate String of Burglaries

Several residential break-ins in New Rochelle and Larchmont in recent weeks have prompted local police to step up enforcement in certain neighborhoods, according to Westchester News 12.

Many of the burglaries have been smash-and-grab type crimes, where windows and sliding doors are broken and thieves quickly make off with high-value items.

Additionally, some of the break-ins are occurring during the day and have taken place near wooded area where thieves can make quick exits, according to Westchester News 12. Among the streets where burglaries have been reported are Birch Road and Forest Avenue.
