Reward Offered In New Rochelle Assault

The man was knocked down and assault and died a couple of weeks later.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New York State Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of whoever assaulted a man who died a couple of weeks later. Hector Morales, 52, was attacked Aug. 14 and died Sept. 4.

Morales was knocked down on Grove Street and had two wallets, debit cards, cash, a watch and a gold medallion stolen from him, lohud.com said. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

It was not clear whether Morales died from from severe head trauma and facial injuries because he also had underlying medical issues.
