Senior Citizen Shot in New Rochelle
He was killed by a gunshot to the chest, police said.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 79-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in the city, New Rochelle police said.
Officers went to 238 Union Ave. at 11:18 p.m. after a report came in about shots fired. They found the man, with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken by ambulance to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The victim's identity is being withheld until his family has been notified, police said.
