Severe T-Storm Warning For Lower Hudson Valley

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for eastern Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties. It is in effect until 7:15 p.m. Thursday.

* At 614 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Hopewell Junction to near New Windsor to near Vernon Valley, moving southeast at 45 mph. This line of storms has a history of bringing down trees and power lines.
